Essence of Christmas...

The True Meaning of Christmas

Lanterns, Christmas trees, lights, Santa Clause, garlands are everywhere when Christmas is fast approaching. We often use to see these things. Do you think these are the essence or the true meaning of Christmas?

Well, we all know that December is the most awaited and happiest month of the year. When ber months come, we are already having the countdown for the Christmas day. And as what we see and feel the air breezes colder and that the sign that Christmas is coming on our way. Christmas, it’s the time when Christ was born. It is also the time to give love, share blessings and help one another as a gift to our savior Jesus Christ. Before Christmas comes, we have lots of traditions that we are doing. Like Christmas parties or programs where we got together as one group have our fun, games, eat many foods and of course the exchanging of gifts. But I think this is not the true meaning of Christmas. I’m not saying that it’s not good to have that kind of staffs but what’s better is why not give or share our gifts to the ones who really need, the unfortunate one. They are the one who need this. I know they cannot return what we gave to them but Christ will be the one to grant us for what we are doing well to our fellow men. Remember it’s better to give than to receive. So what’s now, try to give coins to the unfortunate people. At least we have shared our blessings and it also means that we gave love, right? Christmas is also the time when all family members have reunions, the misunderstandings are open up and finding solutions to have a happier relationship. It is also the time were we thanks our friends, classmates, relatives, family and Christ that they have been coming in our life. Loving one another, sharing our blessings, spreading the good news about God is the true meaning of Christmas.

Christmas is our favorite holiday. We must not think our own self but our fellow people, so you will know the essence of Christmas. Learn to love everybody and never forget to thank Him.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunities

Treat Fairly For Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities!

“Life is so unfair!”—that is the words I often heard. Sometimes all I want to do is in just one click there will be no unfair things, it must all fair. But when will be the time when there will be no unfair things that will go to happen? The times when will be no discrimination, improper treatment to everyone especially to the unfortunate or uneducated ones, that there will be Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities.

Every one of us wants a change especially for the betterment of our country. Living in this world is full of experiences, wishes, and hopes. We are wishing that someday, somehow that we will be treat fairly. We are here in a democratic country and it means that we must be equally treated and united. But life seems to be imperfect. People do change and we do different things, good and even bad. Discrimination and crab mentality are some of the reasons why were not agreeing equal rights and equal opportunities. When something or someone is not good in our eyes we tend to give bad compliments and tried to discriminate them. We do not treat them as what we do to our friends and fellowmen. Crab mental people are not also good in our community and even in our country. They tried to pull down the person who just got higher position than them; they didn’t want to be left. In this month, we are having the campaign “Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities.”We are born in this world to treat fairly as what our Almighty Father had made us. We must avoid doing bad things to all people. We must treat our fellowmen as how we treat ourselves. We have to love and unite as one family or one country. Treat fairly for us to have a happier relationship and be nearer to God. If we will accept Equal Rights, everybody will have equal opportunities. There must be no exception. And there will comes a time that fair thing do happen. Everybody will be given a chance.

And now, we must now treat fairly. Promote now the Equal Rights and Equal Opportunities, for a brighter future and better next generation. It’s time for a change!

Responding To Climate Change

Act Now As Response to Climate Change!
Change...it’s a permanent thing in this world. Every now and then, we cannot avoid experiencing endless changes in our surroundings. Some are for the better and the other are for worst. But how are you familiar with the climate change that is happening now? What moves will you going to do?
Global warming, greenhouse effect, extreme rainfall, seasonal temperature changes are some signs of climate change. With our carelessness, we are experiencing or suffering climate change. We’re not using properly our gifts from God, the nature. Were just keeping in using on them and not replacing, we always thought that these things will be forever unlimited for our daily needs. We also abused this natural resources and Mother Earth is now crying for help to save her from danger.  And now, we are suffering our wrong doings so there’s now the so-called Climate Change. Climate Change is one of the latest issues of this year. Most of the people suffered this change. As the highest kind of individual, we are responsible to take good care of our nature. But what are we doing? We just keep them taken for granted. We should love them as how we love our self. We’re in the hands for the improvement of our nature and that means that does will be a response to climate change. As a youth, I can already do many moves as response to climate change. I will start of course to myself; I will have discipline with myself by making moves or actions for our Mother Earth. I have to do  the 3R, Reuse, Reduce, Recycle, use papers and recycled materials, avoid using and burning of plastics, avoid burning dried leaves instead let it dry for a month and then use it as fertilizer. I will plant more trees to have a fresh air in our surrounding and they will help reduce water during rainy days. I will participate programs for the implementation of the environment like tree planting, campaign about illegal logging and fishing and many more.
Let us now begin to move and act for our natural resources as response to climate change and to preserve the beauty of Mother Earth. So that, we will be have unlimited natural resources, we’ll be having a bountiful foods and for a better tomorrow. Act Now!

Reflection...

Flashback Time to Second Grading Period!

Time really flies too fast. Second Grading is near to an end. And third grading is fast approaching.

Flashback…At last, first grading was over and I remembered how I welcome second grading. I was so glad that I was now in the second grading period of my fourth year high school. Reflections??? It was not that easy but it was not also difficult. Parts of a Web Browser, Page Address, Search Engines, HTML, HTML Tags and Tag Attributes were some of our lessons in the second grading period. In the first place, when I am surfing the Internet, I didn’t mind what the parts of Web Browser and Page Address are. I only memorized the most used parts. But now, because of our subject ICT and our dear teachers, my knowledge increases especially in computers. I also met some words like HTML and HTML Tags. We have also lots of exercises in which we’re going to use the Notepad. My skills in writing were also enhanced because I have tried my best to write my drafts and posted them on my blogs. The subjects of our blogs were sometimes hard but then I have done my blogs and finished them on time. I have also experienced difficulties when we were having quizzes because I can’t remember what I have reviewed. But the hardships and pressure were not the reason to give up.
In this second grading period, I have experienced happiness, sorrows and failures but then here I am still holding on and keep moving on. I kno  w, there will be next grading period and I hope I will be better in the third grading period.:)

Upholding English Proficiency For Communicative Competency

Use English Language: For Communicative Competency and Better life

English, that’s the reason why everybody in this world can communicate and understand with one another. Imagine the life without English language, how can we listen, speak, write with all the people if it does not exist in our everyday life?

Having this language as a universal language is very great. Because of this, we were able to share and express our thoughts, feelings, experiences, interests and knowledge. In this October Fest, we are celebrating the English month or English Olympics. In which it promotes “Upholding English Proficiency For Communicative Competency”. It encourages everyone to uphold English Proficiency to have a better and clearer communication. It also increases self-confidence in communicating or talking to someone, even in participating activities like inside the school: Speech Choir, Declamation Contest, Jazz Chant, Oratorical and others. It also gives chances to have a proper communication with the people around us like family, friends, classmates, teachers and everyone. In these years, there was also the spread of Jejemon language in which it doesn’t help in upholding the English Proficiency because it just destroy the proper communication especially in the usage of English language. Jejemon changes the language like spelling, pronunciation and correct grammar. Many supported this jejemon because it takes a shorter time especially in texting and chatting because you can just shortcut or remove some letters from a word. But many still disagreed because it does not help in the promotion of English Proficiency and dealing, communication skills. It also gives way to understand with each other even though you were any part of this wide world.

So what’s for now, you and I should start in using English language to uphold English Proficiency for Communicative Competency and better life.:)

My teacher, My hero

You’re The One

Without you my life especially my education would not be completed. Because of you my world was lightened up with your words and actions. You’re the reason why my life changes into a better journey and you’re the one whom I considered as my hero.

A hero, someone who touches our lives and makes difference and makes our life happier and felt us that were worth it .In my 16 years of existence, I have already saw thousands of people, in my education life; I have met students and teachers. There are lots of teachers in the world which was called and considered as heroes. My hero is just a simple man yet he has a very brilliant mind, holds as much knowledge as set of books and encyclopedias and that is my teacher. Teachers take a big part in our education; they act as our second parents, guides and friends. They wish to teach us the truth and they want us that someday, we students will be successful people. They also lightened up our life and make our world blossom by teaching us lessons, new words, discoveries and many more. My hero has been there to guide us for so long, the one who scolds and corrects us whenever we have done something that is not good or fun and the one who has been there as I go on in this imperfect life. He also gives us lots of advices to do our responsibilities as a good leader or student and the one who teaches and shared his knowledge or information that might be use someday, somehow. He’s alos the person who doesn’t make his class sleepy or boring because he always brought and shared jokes every time we have class at him. He also teaches us lessons from his heart and mind. I know in his position as SSG Adviser is very difficult, sometimes he’s so busy but then he met and see us and tried to teach us for us not to miss our lessons. And this teacher is no other than Mr. Edgar Pescador, my Social Studies IV Teacher, and the one who motivates his students to study hard and learn. That’s my hero

Teachers play a big part in our life. Without them, doctors, nurses, architects, etc would not be successful but because of them we will have a better future and life. Thanks to our dear teachers for the efforts and knowledge that you have shared to us. You will always be in my heart and I was so glad you came into my life. I salute all the teachers, my heroes. You will always be my hero for all the sacrifices you have done to us.

Modern Day Hero

My Superhero of All Times

Hero… Someone who has done something good and makes a difference in people’s lives. In this modern day, do you ever have a special person whom you consider as a hero? For me, I have also a superhero in my life; do you want to know her?

What comes to your mind when you heard the word hero? Is it Superman, Batman, Darna and Wonder woman? Based on the dictionary, hero means you admire them a great deal, usually because of a particular quality or skill that they have. Just like the heroes in the Philippines like Jose Rizal, Andres Bonifacio, Gabriela Silang etc. that they have shed their lives just to have a freedom. These days, I have lots of considering as my hero but then there is one that I really considered as my superhero of all times. My superhero was not admired and knew of many people, she’s not as popular as the heroes internationally. She doesn’t also wear superhero suits, doesn’t have superpowers, can’t fly just like what you see and watch in the television shows and fight with the zombies and whatsoever. She’s just a simple woman with extraordinary love and care for the family, relatives, friends and fellow people. Since the day I existed in this world, she’s already there by my side. She just like a flower that always loving and always open. I knew being in her position as a mother of six children is very hard, she’s doing all her best just to taken care us, let us be at home to be safe us and feed us at least six times a day. She’s also a very good example of a kind hearted person because she teaches us her children the good manners and right conduct not just at home but everywhere and every time and the way she taught us reflects on what I am today. She was so supportive by making me brave and strong that she gives advices that I can do it and always there to cheer me up at good times and even at bad times. She’s also the woman who doesn’t give up in what problems or challenges may come. Have you already known her? She is my mother, my superhero of all times. She’s not just my mother but also a friend, mentor and role model.

Doing good things without rewards is great, like my mother, my hero. She’s doing these things to me and for you, just to make her happy. I know my supermom is doing all her can for me and my family. I’m so glad and lucky to have her in my life. I don’t know what I’d do without my supermom; I just can’t live without her. She’s the reason why I wake up every morning, studying harder and seriously and keeping in following my goals and dreams so that someday, somehow, I will pay all her back for all the sacrifices for me. That’s all for the superhero of my life.

Buwan Ng Wika

National Language: A Power of Being a Pilipino

Even though places were far apart from one another and even there were different  dialects, if we have and know how to use this Filipino language, we Pilipino can understand and unite with one another and now we cannot deny the fact the strength and entirely usage of Filipino Language.

In the past years, many foreigners travelled and went here in our country to spread their dialects but unfortunately they didn’t achieve their purpose because of the strength in using the Filipino language. Before the proclamation of Filipino language here in our country, many arguments arose if what dialects have chosen as the national language like Ilocano, Tagalog, Cebuano, Ilonggo and many more. But with the leadership of our President Manuel Luis Quezon, he had strengthened the Filipino language as our national language in Philippines. Because of the presence of our national language, we have united as Pilipino and for us to express our thoughts and dream. In this year, even though you were at the tip or end in our country, Filipino language is still use. Like for example, in the institution of education, offices, hospitals, courts and even in politics, Filipino language is use. In our school, we have also our subject Filipino in which we were going to use and speak the Filipino language for us to open up and discuss and for the strength of being a Pilipino citizen.

In the celebration of the Language Month in which implements Filipino Language to use, love, shout of being a Pilipino and mostly to thank our heroes for their sweats, blood and life they have shed to have a liberty from the foreigners. After how many years, Filipino language became the reason why we have our own language, race and better communication. This is also the way in which we unite as one and to share our thoughts freely. And lastly, it is why Pilipino continues to take the future for the progression and strength as Pilipino.

Reflection to the First Quarter

My Reflection to the First Quarter

“Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere.” Yes I really believe in this quote. In the first quarter of my fourth year of high school, I have already learned many things. Do you want to know what the discoveries that I have learned are?

At first, I really don’t know what the history of Internet was. But when our teacher introduced and taught to us, I was so glad that I have already knew these events. I have also discovered the people who have contributed for the invention of network from ARPANET to Internet, the Internet architects, Philippine Pioneers and Software Pioneers, the people who also introduced Internet to our country Philippines. I have also learned about blogs and everything. Before I was not interested with blogs but when our teacher introduced to us, I became more interested in blogs. I can now write and share my ideas and knowledge. In this subject, the problems or challenges that I have encountered are in memorizing many dates and names of people. So far, I haven’t yet experience the most difficult problem ever because I am listening to my teacher’s instruction and trying all my very best just to answer all the questions in my quizzes and to cope up with my lessons. I have addressed these challenges with the help of my dear teacher and especially having my self-study.

I am very much thankful to our teacher for feeding us lots of lessons and knowledge.  Moving on, I will do my very best in the second grading period and next grading period then. I will try all the best I can just to have high scores in my quizzes and to make my works like blogs to be creative enough. And I hope I will learn many more things and lessons from my dear teacher.

SONA 2012

Nothing Is Impossible!

“Report to Boss”—this was the title of the State of the Nation of Address 2012 of President Benigno Simeon Aquino III who rallied last July 23, 2012 at Session Hall of the House of Representatives, Batasan Pambansa Complex, Quezon City.

Every year a president reports to his fellowmen if what its administration has been accomplished and what he will make or implement to move forward for a better country. Our Philippine President Benigno Simeon Aquino III delivered his third SONA last Monday. “Nothing is impossible to a united nation. It was change we dreamed of and changed was achieved!”—President Aquino said. The main topic tackled in Aquino’s 2012 SONA are Relief and Rescue Operation if there is a calamity, it is now ready, GDP Group Rate of Philippines in the first quarter of 2012 is now on 64% which is higher than 3.6% on the first quarter of 2011. We are now the one who are lending money, Foreign Media praised the progress of the economy of the Philippines, 85% of the Filipinos are now members of PhilHealth, and 11,751 Community Health Teams strengthen the relation of doctors and nurses in the community. DepEd had already helped in the shortage of classrooms and chairs, Campaign against Illegal logging, proper collection of Taxis one of the reason to have change in the economy, Impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona. He also told about West Philippine Sea. “It is not right to just give it away our own to others. Don’t just forgive and forget.” These are the very important topics that have discussed by President Aquino. I think President Aquino have done his best to became the leader of our nation. I can only say to his speech is that he has delivered it properly and clearly. Are we really now experiencing the so called “change”? I don’t think so because there were still many Filipinos who are experiencing poverty and shortage of their basic needs. I hope Aquino administration will be more active in implementing programs and services for the betterment of our nation.

“What was once impossible is now possible. This is not my SONA, it is the SONA of the Filipino Nation”—that was the last part of President Aquino’s speech.
